The Joseph Beggs Foundation was incorporated as a California
501(C)(3) nonprofit corporation in March 1992 by Raymond and Beatrice Beggs.
The two established the foundation in memory of Joseph Beggs and
his desire to support the education of engineering students. One of the primary
efforts of the Foundation has been the financial support of education by means
of scholarship grants. Other activities the foundation has supported include
student projects organized through SAE, training of highway accident investigators,
and the construction of tilt tables to better locate the center of gravity of
road vehicles.
